West Providence Township is a rural township in south central
Pennsylvania and eastern Bedford County.  The township has beautiful
mountains, valleys, creeks, wildlife, homes, farms, churches, and
villages.  The Pennsylvania Turnpike runs through the township along
with US Route 30 (Lincoln Highway).  The historical Forbes Road
weaved its way through the township and sections of it can still be
seen. The township is 38.9 square miles in size and has a population
of about 3300 residents.  The township surrounds the Borough of
Everett and its students attend the Everett Area School District. 
Everett Elementary and Everett Area High School are located in the
boundary of West Providence Township.  The township is governed by
a three member Board of Supervisors and has a seven member
Planning Commission.
